DO NOT TRY REMOVING THAT YELLOWISH STAIN ON YOUR OWN… YOU CAN MAKE IT PERMANENT!
Pet odor removal complex issue, which becomes simple when explained by a trained IICRC Professional Carpet Cleaning Expert.
Urine can create 2 separate issues, spots and odors. Each issue is treated separately, and each issue is estimated separately.
Remember the terminology! Spots can be treated and removed, “stains” are permanent.
The PEE SPOT:
During the carpet manufacturing process, most dyes are applied acetic. Urine, as it dries, become alkaline. This sudden change, from acetic to alkaline, creates a “burning” effect of the dye that causes your carpet to yellow, or brown.
So…. A pee spot is not a “spot” like spilled pop, but rather a chemical reaction in the dye!
To reverse the reaction, we apply acetic agents that take the area back to its proper pH level, reversing the “burning” effect.
The PEE ODOR:
Pet odor is basically created from bacteria. Bacteria LOVE to reproduce in an environment that is warm, dark, and dirty. What better place than under your carpet!
Bacteria are living organisms eat. Whala! We use “bacteria food” which, once digested, destroy the bacteria and eliminate the source of the odor!
We offer several application options for treating pet odor, such as topical and sub-flooring treatments. Which one is right for you? Call us today for an evaluation and estimate… there is no obligation for coming out.
Fun Pee Fact!
(Generally) Girl pet pee is higher in alkaline, so their pee can kill your grass. Boy pet pee measures lower in pH, and generally does not kill your grass.
Generally speaking, girl pet pee spots are more difficult to treat.
This is why gender (one of many important factors) is important to know when dealing with pet spots.
Why Not Hire The Owner.
There are many different types of pet urine removers available, unfortunately many do not remove the urine odors permanently. Pet odor removers such as oxidizers, odor-cides, counteractants and encapsulants only deodorize the urine odor. After they evaporate, the urine odor will return, guaranteed.
Next to fully replacing your carpet, pad and wood or concrete subfloor beneath, eliminating the nitrogen within decaying pet urine is the most effective way to remove pet urine from carpet. This method involvles applying enzyme-producing probiotic bacteria into the carpet pad and allowing Mother Nature to do the rest.
